Like Van Gogh, I (and my art) have been haunted by a horrible ringing in my ears all my adult life. But unlike the elusive painter, my (Catholic) faith has kept me from the temptation of self-mutilation and suicide, and through my faith, I have come to see my suffering as a gift. This helps me and my photography to empathize with the suffering of others; the depressed, the dispossessed, the homeless -- all those who know not love.

Hopefully my photography can bring them (and my viewers) a small piece of His Peace too.

Jeanette O'Toole has been involved with photography since 1975. She has worked for professional photographers, and had her own part-time business as well, photographing families/children, but her health (or rather lack thereof) kept her from being more involved with her craft.

Always shooting, though, in one way or another, her move from film to digital was not an easy one, and to this day, she sometimes will use her (beloved) medium format camera. But for the most part, she takes pictures now with a fixed lens Nikon Coolpix A.
